We are the first and formally established Bangladeshi Students' Association in Turkey
The pathway of ABAST was commenced with the introduction of Bangladesh in the presence of Yalçın Topcu; one of the chief advisor of the President- Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and former Minister of Cultural Affairs along with 5 Parliament Members and representatives of the Embassy of Bangladesh. The pathway of ABAST was also commenced by honoring and dignifying the Bangladeshi nationals in Turkey for the comprehensive achievement in their student and professional life with the presence of above-mentioned honorable guests’ introduction.
Our mission is to bring all the Bangladeshi origin students and friends under one umbrella, work, and move forward together. Moreover, we want to solidify unity among ourselves, work as a team, and support & help each other under any circumstance. We also want to represent our beloved country’s enriched culture, tradition, and events in front of Turkey's people and the global stage for our nation’s betterment. Besides, a constant fight and social campaign against worldwide Islamophobia and racism is one of our top priority missions.
Our vision is to expand our activity areas in every sector. We are inclined to develop a circle that will help our students in their academic and research life. Moreover, we want to host and sponsor various skill development-related courses so that our community members can develop and hone their skills and become successful in their life. However, we want to see ourselves involved in more humanitarian, philanthropic, and student welfare based activities in the near future. If anyone asks regarding our exact vision after ten or more years, we would happily reply to him that we want to work as a team more organized and unitedly.
We believe gender, race, color, or religion don't differ a person; what differentiates a person from others are qualities, honesty, and hard work. On account of this, our association fervently believe in egalitarian principles, where there is no discrimination, hatred, and disparity. On the contrary, we are trying to establish a quintessential association where everyone will work together in tremendous harmony and concord. Moreover, any Bangladeshi origin person in Turkey is an integral part of our association, whether he is officially registered with our association or not.
